It can be time-consuming and frustrating to tune Java apps running in Kubernetes. Developers either don’t have actionable data or are buried under mountains of disparate data, which makes intelligent action and optimization nearly impossible. Most organizations end up over-provisioning resources and hoping for the best. Is there a better way? Yes!

In this hands-on workshop led by Kubernetes experts, you’ll learn about:

  • The challenges of manually tuning resources for Java apps in Kubernetes
  • The role of machine learning and experimentation for optimizing Java apps in Kubernetes
  • Ways to increase application performance at scale while reducing resource footprint quickly and efficiently

Course Credential:

Upon course completion you will earn your StormForge Hands-On Essentials digital badge for ML-Based Application Tuning for Java. This credential will enhance your online professional profile, highlighting your hands-on experience with advanced ML-based methods of tuning and optimizing Java applications in complex Kubernetes environments.

Course Outline:

  • Define the problem
  • Set up and verify cluster access
  • Deploy sample app and performance load test
  • Set up and deploy experimentation-based approach to optimization
  • Review experimentation results and analysis
  • Summarize experimentation approach and value proposition

Workshop Prerequisites (required of all attendees):
