Note: Workshop enrollment is limited to the first 20 registrants. The course is offered online only and is free of charge.

It can be time-consuming and frustrating to tune .NET apps running in Kubernetes. Developers either don’t have actionable data or are buried under mountains of disparate data, which makes intelligent action and optimization nearly impossible. Most organizations end up over-provisioning resources and hoping for the best. Is there a better way? Yes!

In this hands-on workshop led by Kubernetes experts, you’ll learn about:

  • The challenges of manually tuning resources for .NET apps in Kubernetes
  • The role of machine learning and experimentation for optimizing .NET apps in Kubernetes
  • Ways to increase application performance at scale while reducing resource footprint quickly and efficiently

Course Credential:

Upon course completion you will earn your StormForge Hands-On Essentials digital badge for ML-Based Application Tuning for .NET. This credential will enhance your online professional profile, highlighting your hands-on experience with advanced ML-based methods of tuning and optimizing .NET applications in complex Kubernetes environments.

Course Outline:

  • Define the problem
  • Set up and verify cluster access
  • Deploy sample app and performance load test
  • Set up and deploy experimentation-based approach to optimization
  • Review experimentation results and analysis
  • Summarize experimentation approach and value proposition

Workshop Prerequisites (required of all attendees):

  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes concepts
  • Work experience in at least one of the following roles or its equivalent:
    • Cloud Architect
    • SRE
    • Performance or Kubernetes Engineer
    • DevOps Lead or Engineer
    • Platform Engineer
  • A computer with sufficient authority to install tools
  • Internet connection
  • Microphone and webcam

Workshop Prework Activity (to be performed by all attendees prior to the event):
